thinking outside the (pizza) box

at the 2010 people’s choice awards (where the winners are notified in advance) the show glee was honored with the award for best new tv comedy. while many award winners that night thanked their fans, glee went the extra mile and thanked them with pizza. that’s right, the cameras turned from the stage and toward the audience as 20+ "waiters" and "waitresses" marched down the aisles holding digiorno pizzas. here is a clip of the acceptance speech:

acceptance speeches with sponsors? really? my point, and i do have one...is that this is going too far!
what's your point?

  1. really????? oh, yes, it is really "really?" . so, here are simple questions, do glee people knew that they would win the award? what happened, if they did not win? were the waiters and waitresses the chosen people? if they do, they should have arranged enough pizza to all audiences! i would be very upset if i did not get a slice!

  2. hahah - while most award shows (ex: grammy's, oscars, emmy's) do not inform the winners in advance, the people's choice does (i believe to get the winners to show up, since it is not as prestigious as the others), so that is how they were able to plan this. but i agree, if you don't have enough to share with the whole group, don't bring any at all! :)
